Bio

A native of Louisiana, Coach Seay brings a wealth of knowledge to the Eagles’ coaching staff with over 30 years of experience, including six in his home state.
After a record-setting career as a two-time All-State Running Back, and an All-District performer in basketball at Delta High School, Seay chose Louisiana Tech University to continue his education. The 1990 graduate became a 3-year starter at Cornerback after playing both ways (RB & DB) as a Freshman. He was an All-South Independent Team Member, and a permanent Team Captain for the Bulldogs.
He began his coaching career in 1990 in Bastrop, LA. Other coaching stops in Louisiana included Delta High School, where he was named Defensive Coordinator in just his 3rd year of coaching, and Ouachita Parish High School, where he served as Running Backs coach. The highlight of his stint in Louisiana was coaching for Ouachita High in the 1994 Class 5A State Championship game in the Louisiana Superdome.
Seay coached football on the Varsity level in Texas for 20 plus years, including stops at Wilmer-Hutchins, Irving, and Grand Prairie ISDs. He also served as Head Boys Track & Field Coach at Irving High for 5 years.
At DeSoto, he currently enjoys developing younger student-athletes on the Freshman level, with Varsity duties on game nights. He also serves as a Mentor for younger coaches on the Eagles staff. He is in his 7th year at DeSoto High School, and is blessed and humbled to be a part of the Back-to-Back State Champion Eagles.
Coach Seay and his wife, Cynthia, are the parents of 4 die-hard DeSoto graduates, (Dyamond & Patrick) Warren, Jr. and Corderius; as well as niece Serenity Jackson (Class 0f 2023).
In his spare time Seay loves fishing, traveling, and most of all spending time with his busy grandkids, August the athlete and the adorable Aubri J.
