Rodney Chadwick

Bio

Relentless, detailed, and built for the big stage, Coach Chadwick brings elite playing experience and a championship mindset to every aspect of his coaching. As the Defensive Coordinator at DeSoto High School, one of Texas’ powerhouse programs, Coach Chadwick has been instrumental in building a winning culture — producing back-to-back UIL 6A Division II State Championships (2022, 2023) and Texas 7-on-7 State Titles (2022, 2024).

Before his rise as a coach, Coach Chadwick was a standout linebacker at Baylor University, where he was a four-year letterwinner, appearing in 42 games with 14 starts, and tallying 106 total tackles, 7 pass breakups, 5.5 tackles for loss, 2 fumble recoveries, and an interception. He was part of a senior class that helped make history — three straight bowl appearances and back-to-back wins for the first time since the mid-1980s.
