Colton Bowen

Bio

Coach Bowen has been a coach in the DFW area for 9 years. 5 years at Grand Prairie High School and 4 years at DeSoto High School. First coaching opportunity was at Grand Prairie High School. While at GPHS, Coach Bowen coached 2 years of freshmen football and 3 years of varsity. Coach Bowen’s final year at GPHS he was also Co-Offensive Coordinator and Head Offensive Line. Coach Bowen also coached Wrestling all 5 years he was at Grand Prairie High School.
Coach Bowen started coaching for the DeSoto Eagles in 2020 and has been there for 4 years. Coach Bowen is currently the Run Game Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator and coaches the offensive line. Coach Bowen coached on both the 2022 and 2023 UIL 6A State Championship staffs. Coach Bowen has also coached baseball all 4 years he has been at DeSoto.
Prior to starting his coaching career, Coach Bowen was a 3-sport athlete at Grand Prairie High School where he graduated in 2011. After high school, Coach Bowen would attend Eastern New Mexico University where he played football for the Greyhounds. Graduating in December of 2015 with his BA of Health & Physical Education.
