Bio

A native of Fort Worth, Charles Williams has emerged as one of the top Offensive Coordinators in Texas.

Williams joined Coach Mathis at DeSoto in 2019 where he started as Offensive Line coach. After two seasons, Williams was named Run Game Coordinator leading to one of the top rushing attacks, averaging over 7.0 yards per carry. In Spring of 2022, Williams would be named Co-Offensive Coordinator coaching the Eagles to their first State title since 2016. Following his stand out season, Williams was also named THSCA Assistant Coach of the year.

Williams and the Eagles emerged as one of the top Offenses in the country and continued to dominate. Averaging 490YPG and 48PPG in 2022 and excelling to 527YPG 53PPG in 2023. The Eagles would go on to be back to back State Champions, shattering numerous records including, most points scored in a 6A State title game (74), most yards in a season (7905), and most points scored in a season (801). The 2023 Eagles Offense was also the first team in DeSoto school history to have two 1,000 yard Rushers and two 1,000 yard Receivers in the same season.

Williams is an emerging star in the coaching profession. Since his time at DeSoto, Williams has coached 4 All-State Offensive Lineman, and over 17 players have moved on to play at the collegiate level. Williams have spoken and discuss his offensive philosophies at SMU’s Champion of Coaches Football Clinic and THSCA’s Coaching School.

Prior to his time at DeSoto, Williams started his coaching career at Marshall High School, where he served as the OL Coach for two seasons and the TE/Outside WR Coach in 2018. There, Williams developed three D1 Offensive Linemen, and One D1 WR. Two OL also earned All-State honors under Williams.

Williams was a three year starter at East Texas Baptist University with a major in Mass Communication. In his Senior season, Williams was named Team Captain, and received Second Team All Conference. On and off the field, Williams is all about family and enjoys spending his time making memories with his beautiful wife and daughter.
