Carlos Leggins – Educator | Coach | Leader

Carlos Leggins is an experienced educator and defensive coordinator with over 15 years of coaching success across top-tier Texas high school football programs. Known for building elite defenses and mentoring student-athletes on and off the field, Carlos has developed multiple Top 10 defensive units in the DFW area and coached several All-State and collegiate-level players.

Currently serving as the cornerbacks coach at Desoto High School. He has also held roles of Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator at North Forney High School, Mesquite Horn High School and North Crowley High School. Carlos has also held key roles at West Mesquite, Frisco Independence, Gulfport High School, and Morehouse College. His leadership is marked by discipline, adaptability, and a passion for helping athletes reach their full potential.

He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi and a M.S. in Secondary Education from William Carey University, with certifications in Math (8–12) and Physical Education (K–12).

Outside of coaching, Carlos is a dedicated husband to his wife Michelle and proud father to Aaralynn, Carter, Addysen, Cayden, and Brooklyn. He is a member of the Texas High School Coaches Association and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
