Alejandro Islas

Bio

Alejandro Islas, M.S., LAT, ATC, joins DeSoto High School as an Athletic Trainer for the 2025–2026 school year. He completed his Master of Science in Athletic Training at Texas Christian University, where he gained experience with a variety of sports including football, track and field, baseball, and tennis. Alejandro has also worked with the Cleburne Railroaders professional baseball team and at Cook Children’s Orthopedic Clinic, where he developed expertise in concussion evaluation and management as well as overuse injury prevention in youth athletes.
Alejandro is passionate about athlete safety, performance, and long-term health, with special interests in concussion management and baseball-related injury prevention. Outside of athletic training, Alejandro is a proud father to his baby girl, Camila, and a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He is excited to bring his skills and energy to the DeSoto athletic community and looks forward to supporting the success of Eagle athletes both on and off the field.
